Caroline Whitaker,

You are

Welcome!

That's me!

If you are looking for Caroline Whitaker, Licensed Professional Counselor, you've come to the right place! (If you're looking for Caroline Whitaker, famed snake charmer and pastry chef, I cannot help you, but I wish you luck.)

My counseling practice is driven by the belief that all people are capable of creating meaningful lives for themselves using their own core values and strengths. My role as a therapist is to assist my clients in developing the skills and courage needed to translate their values into healthy, adaptive behaviors. I'm an enthusiastic practitioner of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I believe cognitive flexibility, mindfulness, somatic integration, and self-compassion are essential tools for not only growth, but for joyful living.

I have designed this website to be a landing space for fellow clinicians, clientele, and curious web-wanderers alike to learn more about my counseling practice and philosophy. This site also serves as a dynamic home for my CV. Over time, I hope to cultivate a full portfolio of worksheets, mindfulness videos, blog posts, updates, and recommended resources for everyone to access on their journey towards joy. Stay tuned!
